Mary is active with the Engineers Without Borders KU (EWB-KU) student chapter, Theta Tau Professional Engineering Fraternity (Zeta Chapter), and Engineering Ambassadors. She has held the position of publicity coordinator and treasurer for EWB-KU, and is the current chapter president. Twice she has traveled with EWB-KU to Andean Bolivia to construct sanitation projects. Mary is also active with Engineering Student Council and served as a co-coordinator for Engineering Expo in 2010. Mary interned with FSC, Inc. as a building code consultant during the summer of 2010 and over winter break of 2011. Additionally, during the fall of her Junior year, Mary studied abroad in Exeter, England where she took engineering courses and electives, traveled throughout Europe, and enjoyed climbing with the Rock Climbing Society.
Mary enjoys being active outdoors, traveling, scrapbooking, and taking art classes at the Lawrence Art Center. She enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee with a KU Intramural team.
Mary is currently in her 5th year of a five-year architectural engineering program. She is active with the Engineers Without Borders KU (EWB-KU) student chapter and is an Engineering Ambassador.
